A Novel Fluorescence-based Assay to Develop Cytidine Deaminase Inhibitors

2025-11-27
TOC Graphic for CDA Paper

We developed a novel isomorphic cytidine nucleoside where deamination to the uridine analogue by cytidine deaminase (CDA) yields a fluorescence output. We then used this assay to identify novel CDA inhibitors. Read more in ACS Chem. Biol. here.

New Assay to Measure Ligand Binding to SARS-CoV-2 Main Protease (Mpro)

2025-11-27
TOC Graphic for Mpro Manuscript

We report a new fluorescence polarization-based assay to measure the binding of ligands to SARS-CoV-2 main protease (Mpro). Read more in ACS Pharmacol. Transl. Sci. (pdf).

The role of sugar pucker on nucleic acid recognition by APOBEC3A and APOBEC3B

2025-02-06
TOC graphic for ACS Chem Biol. 2025

Differences in sugar conformation affect how APOBEC3A and APOBEC3B enzymes recognize nucleic acids and catalyze C-to-U deamination. See our new work in ACS Chem. Biol. (pdf).

New Manuscript in Cell Chemical Biology

2025-02-06
HLB-0532259 induces Aurora kinase A and N-Myc degradation.

Targeted degradation of Aurora kinase A results in degradation of N-Myc in pediatric neuroblastoma. See our work in Cell Chem. Biol. (pdf).
